Today we bring you the first story from our new section, Unsolved Cases, in which we aim to remember people who have been missing for a long time. These are cases where answers have been absent for years — yet they never stop being important.

One of them is the case of Stanislava Chlebcová from Nitra, who has been missing for an unimaginable 30 years.

Stanka disappeared in April 1994 when she was only 17 years old. Her family last saw her as she was leaving for Zlaté Moravce, where she was supposed to return to a youth correctional facility. However, she never arrived.
Later, information surfaced suggesting that she had made it abroad, where she went through a difficult period. She did contact her family at that time — and then… nothing.

Detectives have been searching for her as well, but to this day, there is no confirmed explanation of what happened to the young girl. For three decades, Stanka’s family has lived between hope and the pain of uncertainty.
“Hope dies last,” and it is with this hope that we are remembering her case today.

We want to ensure that long-term missing persons are not forgotten.
Perhaps, even after all these years, a new detail will emerge. Someone may come forward. Someone may recognize her face.
Sometimes a single reminder can bring an old case one step closer to answers.
